To strengthen our team, we are looking for additional (safety) system architects ready to advance their career in technical consulting. You will work on multi-dimensional safety projects, consulting our international customers and our in-house R&D in the development of safe and highly automated driving systems. The position is available full-time, part time is also possible (min. 25 hours/week). The position is based in Munich (Germany) or Vienna (Austria).
Your Tasks:
- Support our customers’ development teams and provide guidance for the transition from fail-silent to fail-operational systems
- Understand the challenges and apply solutions in the development of highly automated driving systems and ADAS
- Review and contribute to safe hardware and software architectures for highly automated driving, considering the relevant technologies and standards
- Analyze, create and align system- and ECU-level functional safety concepts and requirements, decompose to the HW and SW level
- Conduct safety analyses, rate system availability, and ensure sufficient independence of redundant paths
- Verify adequacy and effectiveness of error detection, error handling and safety mechanisms
- Employ our cutting-edge methodologies for analyzing fail-operational systems and help further improving them
- Collaborate closely with a core team of safety experts and technology specialists in our company
Your Profile:
- Strong experience in architectures on vehicle and ECU level
- Strong system level thinking with excellent background on embedded system architectures
- In-depth knowledge of automotive specific technologies (real-time embedded SW on mid- and high-end SOCs; Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR; SOA; Automotive networking technologies and protocols)
- Knowledge of safety concepts on vehicle and ECU level beneficial
- Knowledge of relevant standards beneficial (ISO 26262, ISO 21448 and/or ISO 21434)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Intercultural and communication skills to share knowledge and build up a strong collaboration with customers
- Excellent level of English; German, Korean or Mandarin is beneficial

Information only for Austria: This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade (“Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe”) and we offer a minimum salary of € 60.000,- gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
